Mac Crimmon’s Gold

Piobaireachd or Ceòl Mòr is a musical genre full of spirituality having its roots in the Scottish Highlands. Patrick Molard became, despite his Breton origins, one of the heirs of the great masters of Piobaireachd, the MacCrimmons. He applies the same method as his masters, linking each composition to emotions and legendary tales. Patrick Molard also managed to decipher an old manuscript containing pieces which had not been played for the last 300 years. With his fellow musicians, he brings Ceòl Mòr on stage with an orchestral version blending this ancient music with contemporary jazz forms.
